This is America, Deal With it.

It is amazing that more than two hundred years ago our forefathers put in place a constitution that still stands in place and can still be used with our changing society we live in today.  What would our forefathers think about changing the constitution, laws, and putting the government in total control?
First of all I would like to thank the women that stood behind these men who pushed us to break away from the control of a monarchy, that led to the tossing of the tea into the Boston Harbor. It was the women that originally were signing agreements to not drink tea as long as it was taxed.  This is an example of why we live in America, choice, but many choices come with a price and laws to protect our freedoms.
What has the American Disabilities Act created for our disabled, access to public restrooms, without this law it would leave many in wheel chairs unable to use public restrooms.   There are gun laws to protect the innocent as well as the people that wish to carry them, we might be living in the Wild West or a county similar to Afghanistan, where it can be perceived from the news that all evil people carry massive killing guns.
One of the most perplexing statements made is when someone says how they hate America, just as long as they do not commit treason  they are allowed to stand anywhere in America and make that statement.  I would like for them to be sent out of this country and required to live in ……lets suggest Afghanistan, and see how they like American after about a year. There is no other country in the world that allows this statement to be publicly made about the country in which they are living.
My children are allowed to grow up and attend college and receive a degree in any field in which they chose. They are then allowed to marry, live with any person they choose or not. When they work there are laws in place to protect their wages and number of hours required to work for fair wages.
My husband is allowed to own and drive his personal vehicle to a job he chooses, bring home a paycheck and spend the money in any way he chooses. He is able to purchase a house of any square footage he chooses, if he is able to secure a loan for this home. He is able to watch his sports programs on his television which he receives from satellite, with anywhere from two to three hundred channels at any given time of day. Without government laws and regulations we would not have any of these things or prices could be out of control?  Everything in our daily lives in some way is protected by a law and allows us the freedom to possess the finer things in life and the ability to believe and achieve.
Yes we pay taxes in America, these taxes cover many things in our nation anything from roads to the missions the space station. Taxes is a sore subject for some because the opinion is that to many taxes are paid, I myself would like to pay less, but death and taxes are two inevitable.   I have a problem with paying my taxes and watch others get a refund for money that is more than they paid.
Without laws we could possibly not have the road systems and not be able to travel coast to coast.  We could be controlled at all points of our destinations and not allowed to travel out of our state.  In some cases without laws pedestrians could be still standing on the curb or no crosswalks to cross.
Stand up and be proud to live in America, laws and rules are put in place to protect us, and sometimes we do not always have to agree.  Remember only in America if you do not agree you are able to have an opinion, and if you have the knowledge and ability things can be changed.  Only in America can we live and dream, wish a wish, have a vision and strive to achieve sometimes the impossible.
